Description

Blocking serum is generally selected from the same source as the secondary antibody. The serum can block Fc receptor binding sites in the tested samples, resulting in lower background in the slides.

See the video about the product.

Product Introduction:

This product is used for blocking samples in immunolabeling experiments. The blocking serum can block nonspecific protein binding sites in the samples, as well as endogenous Fc fragment binding sites, thereby preventing antibody binding to Fc receptors in the samples, reducing background noise, and minimizing false positives. When selecting a blocking serum, it is important to note that the blocking serum should not contain the target protein and should not be from the same source as the primary antibody. It can be used with secondary antibodies from the same source.

This product is the original normal rabbit serum, collected from normal New Zealand white rabbits under sterile conditions, filtered three times through a 0.1 μm filter, and then packaged.

Storage and Transportation:

Dry ice transportation; store at -20°C, with a shelf life of 24 months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Instructions for Use:

Before use, dilute this product 10-20 times with PBS (recommended G4202 or G0002). Add it onto tissue sections or cell slides to cover the tissue, and incubate at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. Remove the serum and directly add the prepared primary antibody working solution for primary antibody incubation.

Precautions:

  1. Thaw and mix thoroughly at 4°C before use. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C.
  2. The diluted serum should not be stored for too long and should be used as soon as possible to avoid bacterial contamination. It is recommended to prepare and use immediately.
  3. When handling, wear laboratory attire and disposable gloves.
