Product Description

Antibody Elution Buffer (Plus) provides a robust but gentle method for removing primary and secondary antibodies from Western blots that were detected with chemiluminescent substrates. Antibody Elution Buffer (Plus) can be used with both nitrocellulose and PVDF-probed membranes.

Cost effective: Save valuable time and samples; strip blots effectively the first time.

Quick and efficient: Incubate for 5-15 minutes at room temperature to strip most high-affinity antigen-antibody.

Components

Assay Protocol

1. Wash blot once for 5 minutes in TBST to remove the chemiluminescent substrate.

2. Add sufficient Antibody Elution Buffer(Plus) to cover the blot and incubate for 5 to 15 minutes at room temperature with gentle shaking.

3. Remove the blot from the Antibody Elution Buffer(Plus)  and wash 3 times for 5 minutes each in TBST with gentle shaking.

4. Block the membrane in blocking buffer before continuing with the second immunoprobing experiment.

Note

1.  This product is corrosive, take caution when using it.

2. Reuse is not recommended.

3. The membrane will become transparent when in use, and will return to normal after cleaning.
