Product Introduction

10×Purple DNA Loading Buffer is a ten-fold concentrated loading buffer for DNA samples. This pre-mixed loading buffer contains two dyes: a blue dye and a red dye, both of which serve as tracking dyes in agarose gel electrophoresis. The blue dye migrates at approximately 4160 bp in 1×TAE buffer and 1% agarose gel, and at approximately 3030 bp in 1×TBE buffer and 1% agarose gel. The red dye migrates at approximately 370 bp in 1×TAE buffer and 1% agarose gel, and at approximately 220 bp in 1×TBE buffer and 1% agarose gel. Additionally, this dye contains EDTA which can chelate divalent metal ions, thereby inhibiting metal-dependent nucleic acid enzyme activity.

Storage and Transportation

Transport at room temperature; store at room temperature with a shelf life of 24 months.

Instructions for Use

Mix 9 μL of DNA sample with 1 μL of 10×Purple DNA Loading Buffer (DNA Gel Loading Buffer, Purple), apply the mixture to the DNA gel sample wells, and proceed with electrophoresis.

Notes

1. This product cannot be used as a loading buffer for protein gel electrophoresis.
