Description/Introduction

The 10×MOPS Buffer is a MOPS-based buffer (containing sodium acetate and EDTA) for use as a running buffer in denaturing formaldehyde agarose gel systems. This product is prepared with nuclease free water and filtered by microporous filter membrane. It is suitable for RNA formaldehyde deformation electrophoresis. After testing, this product has no RNase activity. This product contains 0.4 M MOPS, 0.1 M sodium acetate, 10 mM EDTA, pH 7.0 ± 0.1.

Storage and Handling Conditions

Transport and storage at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, valid for 24 months.

Assay Protocol / Procedures

1. This product is a 10-fold concentrated solution and needs to be diluted 10 times before using. Add 1 volume of 10×MOPS Buffer to 9 volumes of nuclease-free water (G4700 or G3004 is recommended), and mix well to use. ;

2. When preparing agarose gel for RNA-formaldehyde denaturation electrophoresis, the following method can be used: stir 0.5 g agarose powder into 36 mL Rnase-Free Water (G4700 or G3004 is recommended) ;heat and melt the agarose, then add 5 mL 10×MOPS Buffer (G3373 is recommended). When the agarose solution cools to 60°C, add 9 mL 37% formaldehyde solution (add nucleic acid dye EB as required), mix thoroughly and pour the gel.

Note:

1. Pay attention to the operation when using, and use sterile non-enzyme suction solution to avoid RNase contamination.

2. This product is easy to turn yellow when exposed to light, so it is recommended to store in a cool and dark place. When the solution is light yellow, it does not affect to use. If the color is too dark, it is recommended to stop using.
