Product Description
HEPES, full name N-2-hydroxyethylpiperazine-N-2-ethane sulfonic acid (Chinese name 4-hydroxyethylpiperazine-ethylsulfonic acid) is a commonly used amphoteric buffer with an effective buffer range of pH 6.8-8.2. HEPES can be in the open environment for a long time constant solution pH range, no permeability to cell membrane, little effect on a variety of biochemical reactions, chemical and enzymatic properties are stable, visible light and UV light absorption is very low, therefore, HEPES is the choice of many cell culture buffer system.
This product is prepared with ultra-pure water with a concentration of 1 M and a pH of 7.0-7.5. After 0.22 μm filtration, it can be directly used for cell culture. The recommended working concentration in cell culture is 10-25 mM, adding proportionally as needed. For example, if the required working concentration is 10 mM, add 1 mL of this product to every 100 mL of medium.
Storage and Shipping Conditions
Wet ice pack transportation; 4℃ to avoid light storage, long-term use can be stored at -20℃, to avoid repeated freeze-thaw. It is valid for 24 months.
