4. Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent : 5 ml (100 time concentration) $280
Description
Introduction
This product is a combination of quinolones and tetracyclines, which interfere with the DNA replication and protein synthesis of mycoplasma respectively, so as to effectively remove mycoplasma. This product has low toxicity to eukaryotic cells, and can completely remove infected mycoplasma in about 10 days. After changing the normal medium, the cells are in good condition, and there is no resungization in continuous multi-generation culture.
Storage and Handling Conditions
Transport with wet ice; Store at -20℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing, valid for 12 months.
Components
Component | G4006-5ML |
Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent (100×) | 5×1 mL |
Instruction Manual | 1 pc |
Usage
1. Add 1 mL of Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent (100×) to 100 mL of cell medium (containing serum, without double antibody) and mix thoroughly to obtain medium containing Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent;
2. When Mycoplasma infected cells are subcultured or liquid is changed, the medium containing Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent is changed for routine cell culture;
3. After one week of culture, some cells were seeded into 6-well plates (or other standard culture vessels) and cultured with normal complete medium. The remaining cells were continued to be cultured with medium containing Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent;
4. Cells in 6-well plates were cultured with normal complete medium for 2-3 days, and mycoplasma detection was carried out when the confluence of cells reached more than 90% (G1900, G1901, G1902 are recommended).
5. According to the test result, perform the following operations:
A) Positive result: continue to repeat steps 3-4 until the test result is negative.
B) Negative results: the cell group containing Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent medium was replaced with normal complete medium, and Mycoplasma detection was performed after a period of culture; A negative retest indicates that the clearance is complete.
Note
1. This product has been tested in a variety of mycoplasma infected cell lines, but different cell lines have different sensitivity to reagents. If the cytotoxicity is too great or the removal effect is not good, the solubility of the product can be adjusted appropriately, and other scavenger can be selected (G4007, G4008 are recommended).
2. There are many ways for cells to be infected with Mycoplasma. It is recommended to add mycoplasma preventive reagent (G4009 is recommended) in daily culture.
3. For cells that have been identified as mycoplasma contamination, separate ultra-clean tables should be used as far as possible to avoid cross-contamination.
4. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves when operating.
