Product Description/Introduction
This product is a mixture of penicillin-streptomycin, so it is called penicillin-streptomycin mixture, also known as double antibiotics, which is a common antibiotic used to prevent microbial contamination in vitro cell culture. Penicillin effectively inhibits gram-positive bacteria by interfering with cell wall synthesis. By binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, streptomycin inhibits the synthesis of bacterial proteins, thus inhibiting bacterial proliferation. It mainly acts on the gram-positive bacteria, but also has an effect on Gram-positive bacteria. Penicillin in combination with streptomycin prevents most bacterial contamination.
This product contains penicillin 10000 U/mL, streptomycin 10 mg/mL, filtered by 0.1μm to remove bacteria. When using, add 1 mL of the mixture of penicystreptomycin for every 100 mL of medium.
