Rapamycin is a macrolide immunosuppressant. It blocks signal transduction through different cytokine receptors and blocks the process of T lymphocytes and other cells from G1 to S phase, thereby exerting immunosuppressive effect. It is also an effective and specific mTOR inhibitor and autophagy activator.

The usage and dosage of biochemical reagents are mainly determined according to the customer’s experimental purpose and the experimental methods in existing literature or books. The following uses are for reference only.

1. For the treatment of rats with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), 2.8 mg/(kg·d) rapamycin was administered by gavage.

2. It is clinically used to inhibit the immune rejection of transplant patients. The recommended load for renal transplant patients is 6 mg, and the maintenance dose is 2 mg/day (the product is only used for scientific research). (Deionized water is recommended for dissolution).
