Introduction
Tween (or polysorbate) is a non-ionic surfactant, which is the ester formed by sorbitol and different higher fatty acids. It has strange odor and slight bitter. It is generally light yellow to amber viscous liquid, but it varies according to the molecular weight. PH: about 6-8 (5%) according to the esters formed by different higher fatty acids, Tween can be divided into 20, 40, 60, 80 and other types, which can be selected according to different needs. Commonly used are Tween 20 (Tween-20), Tween 21 (tween – 21), Tween 40 (tween – 40), Tween 60 (tween – 60), Tween 61 (t (tween – 61), Tween 80 (t (Tween 80), Tween 81 (tween – 81), Tween 85 (Tween – 85). Tween 60 is stearate; Tween 80 is oleate; Tween 20 is laurate, which is a mixture of polyoxyethylene desorbed sorbitol monolaurate and a part of polyoxyethylene double desorbed sorbitol monolaurate
